Young teenage Rohingya girls are being trafficked for sexual exploitation from refugee camps in Bangladesh. Incredibly, some of their traffickers are older Rohingya women.Anwara, 14, is one such girl. While she was fleeing Myanmar after her family was killed some women in a van approached her and promised to help. Instead, she was taken to Cox’s Bazar and raped.“Not long after that they brought two boys to me. They showed me a knife and punched me in my tummy and beat me because I wasn’t co-operating. Then the boys raped me. I wasn’t willing to have sex but they kept going,” she said.The BBC went to the refugee camps with NGO Foundation Sentinel, which works with law enforcement to combat child exploitation. Rohingya families The BBC also discovered that trafficked Rohingya girls were being sold to foreigners for sex.Undercover, posing as foreigners recently arrived in Bangladesh looking for sex, the BBC investigation team set out to see if we could get access to children.Only 48 hours in, after asking small hotel and beach cottage owners – places notorious for offering rooms for sex – we found the telephone numbers of local pimps.With the knowledge of police, we asked the pimps if they had younger girls available for a foreigner, specifically Rohingya girls.

Lo dice il sito Africa News citando fonti locali. A riportarle indietro – ancora non si sa a quali condizioni – sarebbero stati gli stessi islamisti. Lei almeno è  sopravvissuta ed é viva, ma per quanto?Un raid aereo su una scuola a Ghouta orientale, alla periferia di Damasco, ha ucciso almeno 15 bambini che si erano rifugiati nell’edificio. Lo ha riferito l’Osservatorio siriano dei diritti umani. La cantina della scuola veniva utilizzata come rifugio antiaereo.L’Unicef ha definito Gouta “inferno sulla terra” La redazione si rende conto che pubblica solo notizie di orrori. Ma altro non c’è. vi si chiede solo di parlarne e non voltare la testa dall’altra parte, Siamo tutti responsabili, nessuno escluso.Per il bambino non c’è un letto e nemmeno un lenzuolo!

Disneyland is preparing to nix a scene on the Pirates of Caribbean ride where captive, tied-up women are auctioned off as brides. The park says the ride will be shut down temporarily on April 23 to make the changes.The ride currently takes visitors on small boats past a scene of unhappy women waiting to be sold under a large banner that reads “Auction: Take a wench for a bride.” The new scene will showcase a female pirate overseeing the auction of local loot.The Mercury Times reports the public has had mixed reactions to the news. This is the second time the Pirates of Caribbean ride has been updated to make it more in tune with current societal values. In 1997 the park changed a scene where lusty pirates chased after women with the implication that they would be assaulted.,

50.000 rupie (pari a 50 euro)è stata la cifra pagata alla sorella ed al cognato della tredicenne Tahmina da un uomo che ha trenta anni più di lei.Un lungo viaggio in autobus per raggiungere il remoto villaggio di Haryan dove è stata condotta in una stanza mentre sorella e cognato sono rimasti fuori per contrattarne il prezzo. Tahmina racconta che entravano gli uomini, alcuni decisamente strani,  che offrivano denaro per lei.Successivamente grazie all’aiuto di una Associazione è riuscita fuggire e a ricongiungersi con la madre.Sono centinaia di migliaia le ragazzine vendute e comprate in India nel corso dei secoli.Per loro è stato coniato il termine “paros” = ragazza in vendita e comprata.Il fenomeno riguarda soprattutto gli Stati del Punjab e del Rajastan, arcinote mete turistiche. Una Associazione che si oppone a questo turpe traffico ha individuato nel 2014 ben 1532 spose bambine. Tra l’altro quando le paros riescono a fuggire o rimangono vedove e quindi allontanate con i loro bambini dalla famiglia del marito , spesso la famiglia di origine le considera disonorate e le rifiuta. Kentucky has advanced a bill that would ban marriage for those under 17 and give judges discretion to assess if a 17-year-old is being coerced into marriage — potentially safeguarding against forced child marriages.The state Senate passed the bill, SB 48,  by a vote of 34-3. Senator Dan Seum, a Louisville Republican, was one of the three to vote against the bill, saying that it would prevent pregnant girls from marrying.SB 48, also known as the child bride bill, sets the legal age for marriage at 18 and would require a judge to approve a marriage for a 17-year-old by assessing if the individual is being coerced into marriage. No one under 17 can marry under the bill.The Louisville Courier Journal reports:Current law allows those 16 or 17 to marry with a parent’s permission and allows individuals under 16 to marry with a judge’s approval if one of the parties is pregnant.Under the bill, a family or district court judge may not approve the marriage in cases where the age difference is more than four years between the 17-year-old and the other party.The judge also must consider why the 17-year-old seeks to marry, his or her maturity and whether the person has completed high school or a GED.Pregnancy of the underage party is not sufficient evidence to approve a marriage, according to the bill.The vote on the bill had been delayed earlier this week due to opposition from the conservative Kentucky Family Foundation.However, the group dropped its objection to SB 48 after a revision that would allow parents of the underage party to voice their opinion to the judge when the court considers if a 17-year-old should be allowed to marry.Kentucky has the third-highest rate of child marriages in the United States, and supporters of the bill say that too often underage brides are sexually exploited by their husbands who are significantly older.SB 48 now heads to the state House where top lawmakers hope it will pass and be signed into law.To read the entire article, click here https://www.courier-journal.com/story/news/2018/03/07/kentucky-child-marriage-bill-passes-senate/404486002/

Orrore nella Gouta, in Siria orientale. Per l’Onu a soffrirne di più sono i bambini. Il regime e i suoi alleati continuano a bombardare e le postazioni ribelli. Per Damasco si tratta  di terroristi che usano i civili come scudi umani. Le organizzazioni umanitarie non possono che fare il conto dei morti vista l’impossibilità di lavorare in mezzo ai combattimenti. Così il direttore dell’Unicef  Henrietta Fore: “Ghouta è l’inferno sulla terra per i bambini. I bombardamenti non cessano e i piccoli vedono morte e distruzione. E adesso mannca tutto, dall’acqua al cibo e compariranno le epidemie”.Ma perché la Ghouta sembra essere diventata l’ago della bilancia di questa guerra che non accenna a finire? Per il presidente Assad è troppo vicina alla capitale per restare in mano ai ribelli. A dividersi l’area sono formazioni salafite come Jaisj  sostenute dai sauditi, diramazioni del Free Syrian Army vicine alla Fratellanza Musulmana e sostenute da Turchia e Qatar, qaedisti dell’ex al-Nusra. È una sacca che permette di mantenere una minaccia continua sulla Capitale. Una sconfitta nella Ghouta, ad opera delle forze che si oppongono ad Assad, sembra però nell’ordine delle cose. Questi bambini, feriti alla testa  sono seduti e spaventati. non hanno neppure un letto, a dimostrazione delle precarietà degli impossibili aiuti. Fino a quando i bambini dovranno continuare a soffrire,  per le smanie di potere di adulti irresponsabili mentre noi benpensanti  cerchiamo di mantene una beata ignoranza?Nonostante i TG……..
